Fostering Form
Our main concern at REHOMING CORK PETS is that animals should go to foster homes where they will be happy and well cared for, while waiting on new homes or to meet department requirements before traveling to Sweden. All the animals are here because their owners couldn’t, or more often wouldn’t, care for them. We hope to match each animal to a suitable foster and our first duty is to the animal. We require prospective fosters to answer the following questions and to give as much information as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: If you live in a council or rented property, written permission from the council or owner may be required. Please be aware our vets are located in the following locations - Douglas, Carrigaline, Kinsale, Bandon, and Ballincollig. For dogs to be neutered or awaiting second vaccination, we may be restricted in where we place the dog. All dogs in our foster homes are microchipped, will have a minimum of primary vaccination and are treated for external and internal parasites.
Dogs will come will a lead, tag and collar, dog food. All vet costs are covered by the rescue. Please note, you are required to contact the rescue before taking any foster dog for treatment. We cannot approve payment of veterinary costs if the treatment has not been cleared with us beforehand.
All applications are deleted once we have completed the adoption process. We do not store applications or information - if your application is not successful and you’re interested in another dog you will have to re-apply.
